Commissioner and GM, incompatible?

So, I have an online league where I run my own team. Here is my problem: I don't have the usual manager options (resigning, for example), and if I look at the human manager status, I still have an 0-0 record after the first season while all the other managers have their record posted there. Now, I can live with that. However, I've also discovered that I NEVER receive personal messages from players concerning contract signing and negociation, and I find that to be a reall bummer when my fellow owners have access to such information about their team. Is there any way to counter this, other than creating a clone of myself "officially" running the team and who would not be the commissioner at the same time?

I have searched for this issue on this forum, with no success.

I don't have this problem.

Did you assign yourself a team to GM at start, as well as check yourself as the Commissioner?

Yes.

I found this problem by creating a new league. I created a second owner, playing in commissioner mode, and assigned him to a team at the moment of creating him. I left that team, and when I took back control of the team a year later, I no longer had the option to resign and no longer got any contract feedback.
