Player Development Question

Is it common for players (vets/gold star guys) to have a decrease in overall ratings without it being mentioned on the "Player development" page? I have a really good player who dropped 7 points overall in contact without it being mentioned on the developmental page. Is this common? rare? Ever heard of it?

Actually that is the way it works. Ratings-drops are not reflected on the Player Development pages, only talent drops.
