A question for you guys...

Hi guys,
As I said in another thread, I am looking into setting up a wrestling promotion to run along side my boxing site. Being that my main focus are you guys here, I'd like to know what type of set up you'd be interested in.

My first thought was to have a strictly hardcore style fed (being a big fan of the REAL ECW), with nothing but wrestlers from extreme feds included. I thought this might be a bit boring in the long run (and unless you know your extreme feds you may not know many of the guys), so I figure to slowly bring in performers from all eras, all promotions, and see how things pan out.

Does anyone have any suggestions or preferences while I set this up? I'd appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.

Bronx, if you run a wrestling fed I'll definately be following along. Your idea sounds good. As a matter of interest, what will you be using to sim the matches?

A wrestling fed sounds pretty cool and if you want to go with a hardcore style go for it. Enough big names like Foley and Funk have been in ECW and such that it won't get to boring. However, if you want to add a variety of different performers that would be cool to.

I'm going to use my Rampage Wrestling program. I hear it's one of the top wrestling sims and I already own it anyway. A big upside is that I can run it directly from my flash USB drive so I can bring it with me and run it from any computer. The downside: no ranking system built in so I will be using an excel spreadsheet for each wrestler to manually track rating points and rankings.

The guys from the hardcore feds are my main base right now, and there's plenty of them. From time to time, I'll probably toss in a regular guy just to see how he pans out. It'll be fun to see Abdullah the Butcher vs. The Sandman One thing for sure, it'll always be extreme rules: no DQ's, no countouts, anything goes. Draws...well I guess time limit draws would be OK.

I'm hoping to get started this week. I have the home page constructed for the web, and most of the roster is set up from my prior use. A little tweaking here and there and I'll be off and running. I'm really looking forward to it.
Any ideas you have, feel free to shoot them my way.
Thanks.
