Talking 1 more vapid expansion question

Is the expansion draft going to be more or less hands-off? What I mean is this: At the end of the 1961 season, is OOTP going to announce that there are new teams coming into the league in '62--one of which is (egahd!!) the Met--and will it, much like the normal draft at the end of a non-expansion year, ask me if I want to use historic teams or would I like to set up a full blown expansion draft involving protected rosters and the like? It would be sweet if OOTP was able to scan the next Lahman year and 'know" which of the new teams gets such and such players from teams x, y, and z and then go ahead and setup the new expansion teams with their historic inaugural rosters. You know for all us lazy slobs out here this would be pert near Nirvana.

It expands automatically (after the playoffs), but then you can take control of an expansion team and do the expansion draft if you want to

This is one of those things that makes me want to do historical, even though I've never really wanted to before.

I've always wanted to draft as the expansion Rockies and bring the team up from the bottom.

Do owner recognize where you are starting? Even a long-term contrac that was actually honored would help here...

I'm glad to see this. Will their Minor League teams come with them when they enter the League or do we have to give them ones and do they automatically get placed in the division they were when they entered the League?

I presume that we'll have to set up minor league teams for the expansion major league clubs?
