A few examples of Development issues I NEED HELP

I am an owner in 2 seperate leagues...

League 1 my team is dominate... I have the 2nd best record in the league after the regular season going into the playoffs and a top ten minor league system... My best Prospect (on 10 point scale) is a CF with 8 Con. 9 Pow. 8 Eye and he's fast with great D... top 20 spec. He is in AAA with ratings of 5/4/5 holding his own and BAM takes talent drop to 5/6/5 and now is practically worthless.

League 2 I am rebuilding after the division surpassed me in talent. I keep making trades for youth and left and right my players are taking talent hits and it is getting to a point that I am wanting to quit... Had a pitcher 57 Pot (20-80) drop to 20 Pot had SP with 78 Pot drop to 66 had 2 others that as soon as I got them in trades bam they become worthless... both these leagues don't use coaches and I honestly think coaches make things to complicated but I need help on how to develop the younger guys... I'm trying my best to keep an eye on them but this is making me super frustrated!!

HELP
