Starting a historical League before 1901?
Will the game allow this? I know they were talking about it earlier but I never saw a confirmed answer. Thanks

Yes. However, if you are importing historical teams, there are gaps in the Lahman database and, in fact, the real life stats for baseball history. You can get some irregular results in stolen bases for example because no stats were kept for caught stealing in the earliest years of baseball history.
There are some other gaps like that so be aware that anything before 1903 is not quite as reliable. Folks like Arod/Garlon, Gambo or other third-party developers might have some tweaks or tinkerings with that. Perhaps they can post what they know specifically about the pre-1901 databases.

I'm working on adding missing stats such as strikeouts and stolen bases. Many years, strikeouts were kept for teams, but not individuals, so I have come up with a simple formula to give individual batting stats the strikeouts they are missing. However, it's extremely time consuming and doing it all by myself is going to take a while since I am on the road so much and don't have many hours in a week to devote to it.
