Affiliating leagues

I tried looking for this but I don't see it here or in the manual. Hopefully I'm not repeating someone else's question.

I am trying to figure out how to do two things:

1) Take an independent AAA league and affiliate it with a major league after a few seasons of playing unaffiliated.
2) Create a new affiliated minor league for a major league.

I haven't found the controls to do these things yet. I can't say I've looked everywhere, since I'm still learning where things are, but I have looked for them. What am I missing?

Right off the top of my head (if these don't make sense I'll open up the game & give more specific instructions):

1) If you go into the League Setup tab, I believe the first tab there shows the name of the independent league and just below it is a drop-down that says "Not Affiliated" or something similar. You can click to affiliate it to another major league. I think this works at any point during the offseason.

2) In League Setup, the "Action" button at the bottom right can be clicked, and there's a function to add an affiliated minor league.

It figures... Right after asking here I found the answers to both, which I will post for others. I guess I was just blind.

1) This is not possible. This is surprising to me, as I could have sworn I asked someone or other if this was possible and was told yes. Perhaps my question was misunderstood.

2) In game setup, under league setup, there is an "add minor league" button.

I guess the only way to affiliate an unaffiliated league would be to create an affiliated league, move all the unaffiliated league teams into it, and delete the unaffiliated league. I wish it didn't quite work this way, as a league like the International League has both unaffiliated and affiliated periods in its history, but maybe that's for a future version.

Wow, I could've sworn I've done this before. I'll have to check this evening.

Hmmm... the manual says you can't affiliate an independent minor league once the league has been started. Odd. I guess the manual is wrong. It says:

Apparently this is incorrect. I just affiliated a league.

Yeah, I think it might be a relatively "recent" feature, added late in the beta process.

Can you unaffiliate leagues after creation too, then? I was unaware either of those you talked about were available. That's so great.

Yeah, it looks like it's as simple as selecting it from a drop down menu. Very easy.
