Bears/Saints

My Heart is pulling for New Orleans but gotta think the Bears take this game.

I say 24-14 Bears.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you are. I'm a Saints fan but the Bears are going to be tough after they escaped with one this week. Depending in the weather here, I'm assuming very low scoring. My heart tells me 14-10 Saints. My brain on the other hand is telling me 17-7 Bears.

But hey, I teach in the suburbs of Chicago and on Friday I'll be sporting my Brees Saints jersey, go team!

I find it hard to root against either of these teams. I'll probably be pulling for N.O. though, but I wouldn't be disappointed at all if Chicago won.

That pretty much sums up my feelings.

Da Bears 48 - New Orleans 3

Ditka might have coached the Saints for a while, but he didn't give them the secret of Da Bears.

What G&GH said, except switch Chicago and New Orleans.

The Bears still don't feel like a "Super Bowl" type team, even after finishing three games ahead of everyone else in the conference. I'll bet our secondary gets torched at some point, especially if Joe Horn can go. Horn, Colston, Henderson, Bush, McAllister - the Bears' defense isn't good enough to handle all that firepower. (If they had Tommie Harris and Mike Brown, maybe they would be good enough, but no, not without those two.)

Heck, as long as New England loses to Indy, I know I'll actually pay attention to the Super Bowl this year.

I'm a Bears fan above all other NFL teams, but I think New Orleans has pretty good story going for them this year... so it'll be great when it ends in a crushing defeat.

Bears 21
Saints 13

Saints - Bears 2-0.

Mother Nature tries to make up for Katrina and sends a huge snowstorm to Chicago. The entire game consists of frustrated players slipping and sliding on ice, and there is a record number of fumbles in the game. The one that counts is a botched hand-off near the Chicago goal line, which Rex Grossman recovers in the end zone a fraction of a second before he gets nailed by the NO defense.

Lol. But you have the southern dome team winning in a bad snowstorm? Hmmm.

That's what scares me. Seems every year the team with the best story is the team in the superbowl. The bus retiring, Brady and his "dynasty", (including the "Patriots" winning the year of 9/11), the emergence of some kid from the Arena Bowl taking his team to the SB - seems like there's ALWAYS some great story for the whole country to get behind. The 'roaming' Saints finding SB success the season after Katrina - well that's the best story of any of the four teams left.

I don't know it is a good year for the Florida Gators so you might see a Chicago Bears vs New England Super Bowl because both those teams have Gators playing key roles.

Saints win by one after Tony Romo fumbles the snap on a time expiring, game-winning field goal for the Bears.

There was no mention of Carrie Underwood or Jessica Simpson?

actually, the two of them make up four problems, and I wouldn't call any of those 'problems' "small".
