I think it is way to close to call, but I would expect the Colts to be the favorites by 3 leading up to the end. Arguably the top O vs. the top D and the old adage of "Defense wins championships" has to still hold some merit.

I said yes in a squeaker but I really think somewhere inbetween squeaker and a blowout.

The Colts have already beat the best defense in the NFL though Manning did play poorly.

Basically, the Bears have a great shot if Grossman plays turnover free again. If not, it could get ugly because the Colts are going to score some points.

I don't expect the Colts to be nearly as generous as the Saints were today, nor do I expect the Bears to be as mistake-free as they were today. (The Bears played a near-perfect game today; I don't think they'll do it twice in a row.)

I also think the Colts will have a lot more to contend with with the Bears LBs core. The Pats LBs didn't offer much. Colvin played well and TBC got in on plays towards the end, but Bruschi and Alexander didn't offer much whereas Urlacher can do much more especially with a 4 man front opening holes for him.

Statistically the Pats are just as good defensively as the Bears. I would give the Bears the slight edge though because I believe they are more athletic as well as the fact that I'm 100% positive that Brady didn't put his defense in as many bad situations as Grossman did.

It should be a very interesting game, Grossman can't turn it over 3 times though, he's gotta play smart.

Agreed.

I do think though that if Grossman has a so-so game....it could get out of hand quickly. Bears best chance is to run the football early and often.

The Colts will score some points....can Bears as the Pats did? Rex is no Tom Brady.

I kinda see it like the Baltimore game .. The Colts will be able to overload against the run.

Colts 34 Bears 17

I think Grossman is going to make too many bad decisions.

I don't know...he seems to have that in check. In fact, the poor completion percentage yesterday was directly from his throwing the ball away anytime something wasn't there. He probably was too conservative, but that is definitely better than the alternative.

I could end up being wrong about it. But from what I've observed, it just doesn't seem like Grossman really understands what's going on in front of him for reading defenses. He deserves some credit for improving on chucking it away, but if the Super Bowl gets to a situation where Grossman has to win it, the Bears are in trouble.

Yea, but it shouldn't really come down to Grossman having to win it...or at least the Bears game plan will be to keep that from happening. They have to be able to run the ball, or at least make the Colts commit 8 guys to stopping the run. If they leave the corners one-on-one, Grossman is going to hit a home run at some point. Where he gets into trouble is trying to squeeze balls into the deep zones. However, if the Colts have to bring a safety up to stop the run they aren't going to be running much deep zone. I think they are probably more likely to get turnovers from blitzing him from the backside and causing fumbles than getting him to start forcing balls...it appears he has learned his lesson in that regard (at least I am hoping that is the case).
