Most effective use of MRs?

I currently have 4 relievers that I want to use (3 primarily). 1 will be set as my CL. For the other two that I want to be pitching most of the time, should I set them as MR#1 and MR#2 with my last bullpen man as #3, or should I set the two to MR#1 and SU#1 with my 3rd as MR#2?

What is the overall setting for pitching endurance your league? If you are playing in the deadball ERA then you should be ok with just 3 MRs, otherwise you must have more.

do your starters tend to go deep in the game? or do they get knocked out in the 6th and your bullpen does the rest?

All my starters have 70+ endurance so I figure 4 MRs is enough

For the playoffs you should be good with a 9 or 10 man pitching staff. 4 starters and everyone else in the bullpen. I guess you would go smaller but you really don't need that many hitters in my opinion and you have to fill the 25 man roster somehow.

I usually put my best guy at MR1 and SU1
Next best guy at CL
Next best guy at MR 2 and SU 2
Next best guy at MR 3
Next best guy at MR 4

Why do you put your 3rd best MR at closer? Do you like blowing saves?

i think its his 2nd best and i do the same. i like having my best guy throw 90-100 usually important innings, instead of waiting for 60-70 sometimes important closing innings.

Fair enough and an interesting thought. I always put my top MR at closer and then hopefully have someone pretty close in ability to use as my SU1. Of course a deep bullpen can be gold but sometimes is not easy to obtain.
