DH Problem

I don't know if this is just in historical leagues, or fictional leagues also...but I ran a historical league and I'm now up to 2007 so I'm playing out games.

I'm running into this problem where, if a guys "position" is DH, his overall rating is very high (say 70/80), even though his batting ratings are awful.
Also, these DH's are often on the Major league roster for years, but get maybe 5-10 ABs a year, and never get sent down. It's almost as if the Computer AI sees their overall ratings and feel they deserve to be on the roster, but then see their batting ratings and realize they aren't good enough to play.

And yes, this is happening the American League where the DH is used.

Anyone else seeing this?

Also: I can understand why the overall rating is so high...there aren't many "DH's" out there, but it still doesn't make much sense.

Yeah, unfortunately the game is basing the overall rating against players of the same position. Sounds like the logic needs tweaked.

I have also noticed this in my Historical leagues that DH's are rated very high but in fact are scrub players who never amount to much.
