App performance on a Mac. Markus?

Are there any plans on improving the overall performance of the app on a Mac for 2007? Right now the game as an application is just sluggish compared to any other well made application. Simple things like typing in fields it painfully slow. Archive creating is horribly slow. 3,000 files takes hours to compress and dont even think about putting the app in the background when its creating these archives cause it will take twice as long since the app performs very poorly if it's not in front. On a mutlitasking OS, this is unacceptable. When I create these archive I bascailly cant to anything else until its all done. I've even gone as far as using third party apps to handle the archiving.

So, Markus any plans on fixing this?

And no folks, it's not my machine.

The platform system that OOTP uses is constantly being developed further, so I expect it to act faster in the new version

Is it an Intel Mac? IIRC, OOTP 2006 runs in whatever passes for "legacy" mode on those systems, since it's not a universal binary. Therefore, it tends to run slower.

Granted, I'm just kind of parroting back other things I've read in Mac-related threads, so my expertise is sketchy...

Well I'm not on an Intel Mac.

One of my main issue with the game is that when it's proccessing for instance when its simming or creating reports or archiving, it's basically unresponsive. Can't move the window, switching from another app to OTTP during these processes is slow. Takes forever for OOTP to come to the front and it shouldnt.

I'm on a 1.67 GHz Powerbook (G4, not intel, just to be specific) with a gig of RAM and there are definitely some times when the app feels slow. It's not horrific (though my leagues are fairly simple), but increased performance would certainly be a nice thing.
