corners in
I've noticed that the game still likes to bring the corners in way too much. Perfect example was the last game I played where there were 2 outs, bases empty and a batter with an E rating for bunt for hit and a D bunt rating with D speed. The defense had the corners in.
Now I can live with it for now, but my question is, does this factor into increasing a batters chance in getting a hit?

You would think that it does, but I haven't noticed that the corners in leads to more hits in the game. I have only played one season though.

Can someone on the .400 team comment, please?

not sure how Markus coded it... the manual states that its supposed to be used to prevent a bunt... it has to have some negative effects, and I'd assume an increased chance of a hit would be one of them.
Using it too much has been noted though. (I actually posted this once even before release, Steve has reposted it as an issue) |

speaking of corners in, it seems that the AI will do this when my pitcher bats. I have seen this consistantly. is this normal? has anyone else noticed this? This is something I noticed when looking at game logs.

I think the game is following the idea that pitchers usually bunt since they generally suck at hitting, but it is also part of not allowing for certain situations when bunting would be the last thing to do.

I think the code might have guard lines and corners in mixed up. Late in the game, of a close game, seems to have corners in instead of guard the lines. Could somebody from .400 doublecheck.
