Amateur Draft Help...

Alright guys, there has got to already be a thread out there about this but I haven't found it yet. I'm in an on-line league, about to start our second year and we are about a week away from our Amateur Draft. I've always wondered if you notice more or faster success with pitchers or hitters? During my historical league replays, I noticed that imported rookie pitchers tended to develop faster but this is my first fictional league. I have the fourth pick (I sucked last year) and am pretty set at all major league positions so it isn't a need based pick, more just what position can develop into a major league quality player faster, in general.

Hitters.

Although one of the ways that the game could be more realistic is if 18 year old pitchers almost always fail, get injured, etc.
