Just checking my historical league records and it seems Red Downey of the Kansas City Monarchs struck out 411 times in one season!!!
What are your records for strikeouts by batters in a season? Just for background: My league is a historical league including negro league players, expanded by four teams (New York Mets, KC Monarchs, Texas Rangers and Brooklyn Bums, with the Dodgers and the Giants starting off on the Left Coast.) |

Sounds like to got the old "wrap around" thing happening. Im pretty sure that can happen with K's. I think that if a player has the max number rating for K's and it goes up (not sure if its at 9 or 10 or 11 or 12...) it wraps back around to 0. Check his K's ratings.
Im in the 11th season of a solo historical league and the single season record for most K's by a batter is 153 by SS Hughie Jennings in 1903, playing for Cleveland. |

90 years of replay and my strikeout records are pretty normal; 209 both leagues Charlie Neal (NYA, 1969) and Cuno Barragan (CHC, 1970). In both instances they were well past their prime and merely playing because the teams had no one else in their postions. Most of the team records are in the 175-190 range.

This is the wrap around bug, but I thought this one had been corrected (another couple snuck through and were corrected for OOTP4).
What version of the game are you running. |
