This should've been a poll.

Lirano would've had it for sure had he not gotton injured, but I still thinks he deserves it.

Liriano was the best rookie, but with only 120 IP as a SP, I can't give him rookie of the year. I like Johjima. Good bat, good defense, tough position.

I wonder where the Red Sox would have finished this year with Cy Young candidates Arroyo and Lowe in the rotation and with topnotch ROY candidate Ramirez at shortstop? I don't remember the players that arrived in Boston in exchange for these fellas, but I've a feeling that short-term the Red Sox fared poorly in these exchanges.

Tough one. There were a hell of a lot of good rookies in the AL this year. I'm going to go with Verlander, but I wouldn't be upset if it were any of about five other players, either.

Ramirez was involved in the Beckett trade, Arroyo left for Willy Mo, and I believe Lowe left via Free Agency.

So basically yes, Red Sox did fare poorly.

Lowe left and they replaced him with MATT CLEMENT. It wasn't a trade, per se, but Clement's signing was directly connected to Lowe leaving.

I'm surprised to see Liriano so close to the lead. I'd probably vote Liriano, but Verlander deserves it too. The other two guys with votes wouldn't be bad picks either.

Would have been Liriano, but that shortened season did it for me.

Had to vote for my hometown Verlander.
