Rocky Movie Trivia Question

This question was e-mailed to OOTP Developments. Does anyone know the answer?

Christopher

Quote:

Just wondering if anyone knows the names of the boxers on the 4 oval plates on the Ring Magazine Championship belt in Rocky II, III, IV ? (In Rocky V same belt, minus the 4 oval plates).
Thanks,
Rocky

James Corbett is one of them, but the rest are question marks due to the non clearness of them....I'll look for a better picture.

This is the best image of it I can find.

Maybe somone who has seen a ton of boxing images (I haven't) will be able to recognize the photos on the belt.

One looks like it could be Marciano (far right), and one looks like Joe Louis (inside right), but I can't really tell, just going by what I can see.

i've slowed and paused the dvd on my 56" several times...i'll look again with those in mind...i know they refenced marciano from balboa's wall during the movie, so that might be it.

Although the image is somewhat blurry, I believe the image
on the far right may be James Braddock.

You have better eyes than I do Greg. I still can't tell who it looks like.

Chris, I don't think it's my eyes in particular, but I remember seeing a similar photo
of Braddock a while back.

Looked again....far right could be Marciano and they did reference him in the Rocky movies. Inside right sorta resembles a young George Foreman, but I doubt they would've disrespected Joe Frazier that way, as he was in Rocky I. Couple other thoughts...are they all heavyweights? are they Philly originated boxers? are they boxers of historical significance whatsoever or even real? We could have a picture of Mac Lee Green there
