Exhibition games

I love that you have exhibition games now, but I can't bring someone into the exhibition games that have no option years left (unless I put them through waivers and stuff). Is there any way of allowing anyone to take part in the exhibition games, including those not on the 40 man roster?

I doubt that this is possible now and not sure that it would be unless major changes are made to create an entire exhibition game "engine"(for lack of a better word).
