Help please..just got the game..

I know this isnt the right forum, but i just posted it over at the other section and theres no one in there...so i figured id try here..

Help please, i just downloaded the game and i downloaded Rolens opening day roster file..

I then did what i read in my searches of the forums and such..i extracted the zip file into the saved game file and then saved it in a new folder under the saved game file..

however, whenever i try to load the game, it never works..it says.."the loading of the database failed, it is either corrupt or a save-game from an old version.."

then i tried the quick-start way, and it loads the roster, but then it goes to a blank screen with just the games backround and all i can do is go back to the main menu and start a new game...

HELP ME PLEASE i really want to play the game..

Are you downloading CubbyFan's latest OOTP 2006 rosters? Maybe you downloaded something for OOTP 6.5.

If all else fails, download the file again and extract it again. Maybe the original download was corrupted.

it was rolen's rosters...the opening day ones off of modsquad...and i've done it alot and it hasn't worked..im doing something wrong or somethin

Are you sure you put the .lg folder in the Saved Games folder instead of the main OOTP directory?

I made that mistake once and got the corrupt error message.
