Team Cash Maximum
What should I set my 24 team fictional league's team cash maximum to? I believe the default is 10,000,000. I just want salaries, free agents, trades and everything else to look realistic. I pretty much sim all of the games and look at the news and stats. Thanks for your time.

The Cash Maximum just effects how much Cash on hand the teams are allowed to keep, anything over this amount goes into "revenue sharing" for the other clubs. It really doesn't have that great an impact on salaries (assuming all clubs make money and/or keep a positive cash balance).

Something I started doing in my most recent two solos out of boredom...
Set the cash maximum to something like $500,000,000 and try to keep the payroll under $50 million, so you're pocketing $25-50 million a season. Then, sometime when there's a FA *I HAVE* to have, offer him a 1 year, $200,000,000 contract (he'll accept). Then, watch the computer give you a really low season rating despite winning the world series (because you will have run several hundred thousand in the red). Fortunately, assuming you don't totally waste your cash reserves your ability to negotiate with FAs the following season won't be limited. Surprisingly, the game doesn't crash... |

unless things change, i wont be surprised if a player demands that much in about 20 years.
