Ballpark Data - All 2005 Parks

I've attached an excel spreadsheet containing the following data for the MLB Ballparks:

Team, Park
Type, Surface, Capacity
Park Factors (2003-2005 avg) - From the Bill James Handbook 2006
Wall Distance & Height - From the web

(Note that Busch Stadium data is for the old stadium)

Maybe we can make this the starter for a community project to get data on all the historic parks, minor league parks, and foreign parks? Feel free to run with it. I'm not sure where we could get data on those parks.

This will at least allow you set up your major league with proper park data.

Needed something like this to put in the roster set and BOOM! you're right there.

Sorry if that's a little too John Madden for you.

Are you positive that ballpark data is not merely cosmetic, as in ootp 6.x?

Found a good resource with pictures for nearly every park at the site below

http://www.mlbroadtrip.com/

Go to Cities, then click "Ballpark", then open the pictures of the various parks in a new window to see them full-size. They're almost all taken from the perfect angle for use in OOTP.

Out of curiosity does Mr. James have similar data for historic parks? I have seen pretty much everything else on the web already.

Where do we put the decimal points regarding park effects? For example, Atlanta Avg LH = 101 Avg RH = 99, ect. Is it like this (Avg LH 1.010, Avg RH .990)?

Thanks for doing this.

From my excel file, 110 = 1.100, 101 = 1.010, 98 = .980. Let me know if that doesn't make sense.....

If you are talking strictly park effects, I have'nt found any. I'm sure they have to be out there, maybe in some old publications or something. This site actually does have pretty good info on wall distance and height. This game was originally developed by Bill James while he worked for STATS Inc.

You can d/l my MLB2006V3.01 which contains every ballpark in every league with correct names, capacities, dimensions and wall heights, and they contain T_wil1's awesome minor league stadiums. Also includes all 7 independent leagues with their stadium info as well... In release 3.1, it will also contain correct ballpark factors for all minor league stadiums(majors are already included), correct team colors, indy league stadiums and a few other nice surprises.

You can d/l the files here:

Are the spreadsheets used to then manually modify the parks one-by-one or is there a way to simply mass update/import the factors. Could I add this to say the arod database and then start a new game and it would have the new factors? Thanks in advance.

these links do not appear to be working anymore. I was unable to download these files as I have been really sick. I'm nearly all better now so I still need these.
