A few things needing tweaks...

Had a pitcher suffer a fractured cheekbone by walking a batter....

Errors on foul pop flies should NOT allow the batter to reach base....

Batters should NOT be attempting to sacrifice when there is a runner on third base only. They should swing away or squeeze....

Interesting. Just a PbP error, or do you mean to imply it's more involved? As far as I can tell, the only "approved" ways to get an injury that is coded as "Other" are via collision at a base/home plate, on defensive plays, or being hit by a pitch. Unless the injury file is a non-standard one, it shouldn't be possible to get a fractured cheekbone while pitching...

Edit: Ohhh, I was wrong...it's actually in the default injuries.txt. I guess it's intentional then (or a typo in the file), but I agree it's pretty weird. FWIW, out of the 13 injuries coded as "Other", the following 3 are allowed to happen while pitching, for who knows what reason:

Fractured Cheekbone
Fractured Eye Socket
Bruised Jaw

Hmm, is it possible while who was ever putting it together was thinking "while pitching" could mean on balls back up the middle that take them out?

I think that's probably it, but then a) that subset of injuries ought to belong into the "injury on a defensive play" category, and b) some related injuries (fractured jaw, bruised cheekbone, concussion, fractured skull, fractured nose, teeth knocked out) aren't coded to occur while pitching.

Well, the first one is not bad IMO... rare, but you could invent a story around it

I have checked the code, batters do not reach on foul errors.

In case you described the sacrifice bunt, the batter did try to bunt for a hit, which he could IMO.

It was such a bad pitch that he took a walk back behind the mound, and then slapped himself... not realizing that he was holding the ball?

Or maybe he just really really.... really... missed his target...

You are correct, the first one is not terrible....

On foul pop ups, This IS happening (Seen it many times)

"Reached on error, E2 (pop up, 2RF)"

Just copied that from a game log (Can't send screenshots, sorry).

On the bunting issue with a runner on third only, it always happens with a pitcher at the plate, so I don't think they are trying to bunt for a hit (And if they are, they shouldn't be).

Thanks.

On the foul pop up issue, I have NEVER seen an error on one where the batter did NOT reach first base....

I have logged all of these for review, as TTs # 64, 65, and 66. These will get looked at for the first release of OOTPB 2007.

Thanks!
