More MS Access fun with the .CSV dump! Career All Star Stats!

Just a little something I produced in MS access using the csv files.

I realized that the game by game stats tables get truncated and re-populated with each season which is a downer. (It must be to limit size) So, in order to get the career stats. I import the new csv the day after each all star game, and then I have an append query I use to populate two tables which I created (Batting and pitching stats) I then run my report off of those.

Anyway, check it out

Nice - you and Comedian could become the database workaround experts. I need to get round to doing some work on this (like that will ever happen!)

If only I had comedian's talent!

Thanks for the compliment though. I am pretty good with access, but have no program writing ability. I could write access queries and post the database so that all anyone would need to do is download the db, and import their tables into it.

It seems like a bulky thing though. Maybe Mr Anderson will be able to come up with a better way.

Well (no offense intended), based on what I've seen him produce, that is almost assured - the guy is killing me with how good his ideas are. ood on him - we should all show such commitment! This is a good idea, though - I like it!

Let's here it for Quillan Drinkwater!

A touch of color on these reports would make them into a gem.

Lol! That is a good name! I'm having a great time with this universe.

The reports are bare, but only because I just whipped them up and wanted to get them out for opinions ASAP. I can always mess with the eye candy!
