Scouts and Field Positions - Did Not Know This

Only tonight, while looking at the distribution of power among positions in my league (btw it's much improved, but I'd still like to see less middle inf in the power mix), did I discover that not only can scouts rate position ability differently, but some - while uncommon - may not acknowledge the player can play a position at all!

I looked at a player designated as SS with another team (using my Head Scout who agreed with SISA that he possesses only 3B ratings); spying this made me wonder why they were using him in that position. Yes, the depth charts looked a little thin in all of their positions with only one back up position; not using multiple players like my own and other teams do. When I quick-scouted him with a couple of my other scouts, found that suddenly the SS rating appeared. But still, not from the vantage point of my Head Scout who was a mere 9 pts under the others' Scouting Fielding. (clarifying: on a 20-80 scale)

Whether this is a bug or not, really don't care. It actually seems to add something. I found it interesting.

endgame, I think your observation is linked to this reported bug that I know of only because I was briefly involved in the thread:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=133141

It's now in the logged issues subforum, so I guess it's acknowledged to be a bug, not a design decision, although one could chalk it up to scouting error or inefficiency.
