New Addition: Team Uniforms added to my photobucket!

Yes folks, I am now undertaking a task to create team uniforms to go along with my logos. I am not committing to completing 2000+ uniforms, but if someone else wants to use my logos in my photobucket to create some uniforms, its fine by me.

First off, my own Universe's Major League Teams.

From my US Baseball League:

From my Canadian League:

And finally, my Mexican League:

I'll be making more as time goes by I'm sure. Feel free to use any of these at your leisure!

I know this is a long shot... but would someone care to put a "How-to" on achieving this... i've been playing around with the template files with GIMP now for a few hrs and haven't gotten past figuring how to make my own damn colored buttoned jersey base.

Those uniform logos are great silvam....would it be possible for you to make a few more???...I'm looking for minor league uniforms for CubbyFan's roster....any help would be appreciated...thanks

Thanks....If you want you can use the colors from the team logos...if that works for you....lets start with Syracuse Skychiefs; Columbus Clippers and Pawtucket Red Sox....

I'll take a stab at these, but I won't be trying to depict the actual uniform per se. I like to just create whatever comes to mind. I hope that is ok with you.

If you have the time, do you think it would be possible to explain a little more about how you do this? I also have been playing around with Deft's templates on the GIMP program. I am most interested in knowing how you do the team name with multiple colors, change the colors of the jerseys and such, and finally (I know...not asking for much!) the hat logos.

Any help you could provide would be much appreciated as I would like to make custom unis for all 120 teams in my fictional universe.

Hey man,

I actually use photoshop CS2 to work on my unis and logos. I've never used gimp though, so I'm at a loss here. I know there are some others here that use it. You might want to post a question thread on it.

As far as a lot of the team names on the jerseys. I use Adobe Illustrator a lot to create the text and then copy and paste it into my photoshop template. Others are just images of actual team script logos which I re-size and plop on to the front of the jersey.

Great job on you first uni! Its very addicting!

Yes it is! I've been checking out your circle logos to see what I like too. Thinking about adding some of those to the unis. Very nice job on those by the way! Thanks for the info and advice on making the new post. I thought that might be neccessary, but figured I'de ask an expert first!

The biggest problem I had was figuring out what order to place the layers so that they all showed up correctly. Now that I know that, it should get much quicker. I'm also working on putting all of Deft's templates together into one large template so that I can just simply make visible what I want and then save the file. That should save a ton of time!

one warning, you will want to redo them after I get the new template uploaded. Layton used a slightly modified placement of his heads in Facetool for the in-game pictures. I have accounted for this and it will be in the new version to be released early next week.
