Load Online league file issue

It looks as if you sign in and use the "Load Online league file " you get the Commish's version of the file from the ftp server which gave me control over his team (bypassed any password requirements) and was able to release players from his team and the continue button was avaliable as well.

Has any other leagues seen this ?

I am said commish...

shouldn't teams only have access to the FTP export button if they are owner of that team and logged in?

I can understand being able to go to another teams pages and check out their rosters (like 6.5), but they shouldn't have access to any export buttons. Even if the changes don't take, Harry's export did overwrite my file that I exported previously.

Not good!

From the looks of it, the problem is this: Harry was hitting Load Online League File to download the new league file. When it finished downloading the league file and updating, it wasn't updating the date in the game (although the date in the reports were updating)... so Harry hit Continue and it took him to my team, which he was able to release a player, submit and export and overwrite my export.

So, a couple things seem to be needed:

--The ability to select anything in the Import/Export menu on the team page should only be available to a team with a manager who is signed it OR the commish. The items should be grayed out or the menu not available for everyone else.

--The ability to use the Continue button should only be available to the Commish. The only real benefit it gives the team is to sim ahead, which is questionable in value, but generally frowned upon in the online world.

--Finally, after loading a new file with the Load Online League File option, maybe automatically request that a team logs in again to refresh the league date? I personally haven't seen the league date not update, only because I am controlling everything as Commish, but it has happened to Harry 3 times in a row now, so I have to think something is up.

Dola-

Alright, this made me curious, so I went in to see if I could export for other teams. I couldn't. The import/export was grayed out and the Continue button was too.

So, Harry has to be getting some kind of weird bug, where he can gain access to my team by hitting Continue after loading the new league file. Which I am not even sure how he got access to based on what I just saw.

Anyway, this is weird. Maybe all that is needed is some way to refresh the game one time once you download a new league file OR log in again.

Well, I just logged in as my team and dl'd the file.

I was able to hit the 'continue' button and reach 4/16/2006. Oops! That shouldn't be possible.

Sure enough, when I look at the top of the 'news' page it says clear as day 'Jason Dettbarn News'...

This issue is present in my league as well. It's fine after owners close out of the game and reopen it. You can revert to downloading the file manually simply by renaming it. The game won't recognize the file unless the default name is used.

If you trust your owners enough, I'd just tell people to restart before doing anything. Keep in mind they could export as other teams though.

Same thing has happened in two of my league's as well.

And it doesn't just happen when you hit the continue button.
I just had to change leagues, and i was then logged into the commish.

dola,

YOu can't be in commish mode when you want to use this feature. But if you are logged in as a regular manager, this option is in the "game" menu.

Any word on this?
Is it a fixable issue? is there a work around?
This is one of my favorite features in the new patch, but I can't use it right now.

After further testing, this happens to me every time I switch leagues after downloading a league file in game: I get logged in as the commish and have full access to everything.
IF I don't change leagues, then there is no problem. I hope this helps fix it.
