Scouting and Modifiers

Hello, I'm currently controlling the Kansas City Royals in my solo league (I got some House Rules to make things fair and realistic.)

Anyways, I read around here that you can scout the international waters, but the only option that I see is the "World" option, where you just scout current players from their respective nations. Is there a way to scout internationally or am I mis-interpreting that?

Second, are there any modifiers that make for realistic results or is the default modifiers good enough?

One last thing, should I set AI trading frequency to Very High or what ... just curious, trying to find the right balance of setting.

You can't scout the whole world at once, you have to scout specific nations.

Right, I see that ... but do you scout nations that don't have any players in the league currently to find hidden gems?

You can scout any nation that doesn't have an active league in it, even if there are players from the nation in your league. You'll have better luck in nations with higher baseball quality.
