Small stats issue - K's per BB

Patched version.

Not sure if this has been posted already or is even a bug.

After looking at my ST stats I noticed the leader in K's per BB is at 14 but there is a starter that has 22 K's and 0 Walks. Obviously you can't divide by 0 so i'm not sure how this is supposed to work.

Hmm. Any shot at a screen shot on this?

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.

Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? I have not been able to reproduce it so far.

Please let me know!

Thanks,

Steve

It's still happening. Just look at stats after simming opening day or maybe a few days into a season. Pitchers with say 2 k's and no walks allowed will have k/bb of 0.0. I'm not sure what you'd want the k/bb to like like though, maybe 99.9?

Edit: Wonder what ERA looks like if you give up a run and don't get an out recorded.

Well, wasn't Stu saying he had a 22:0 ratio, but his k/bb was "14"?

No, he's saying that one guy (who is listed as the leader) has a ratio of 14:1 and another guy has a ratio of 22:0 (whose k/bb is listed as '0.0').

Ah, I wonder how this works in real life?

The thing is, there isn't really a correct or incorrect. You just can't divide by zero. I was just thinking that Markus could make a "design decision" and make the k/bb blatantly high. If you saw a guy with a 99.9 ratio, you'd know what the case was.

I mean, if I have a guy who is having a phenomenal year and has struck out 40 and walked none, he should be leading the league in k/bb ratio. As it is, he'll be dead last.

Alright, I logged this as TT # 2299 (low priority though ).

We'll see if Markus can come up with something.

Thanks!

I am seeing something similar but the walk totals themselves are very low. Most SP have only single digit number of walks after a full season of starts.

This seems like a completely unrelated issue. Could you please post a separate thread, along with some details about your game configuration, and what the results looked like?

Thanks!
