Cool, so now you can actually vote for him like I did!

He's the best player in college football IMO and that is what the award is for even though it has turned into an MVP award.

Brady Quinn (my pick if I had to choose one)
Peterson
Ginn
Troy Smith
Dwyane Jarrett (if the NCAA doesn't nail him for whatever violation that was that he might have been involved in)

That pretty closely resembles my top 5 as well. Not sure what is going on there but I heard that he might have to be reinstated which would involve him getting a loan to payback his debt.

The violation DEFINITELY occurred, it's just a question of whether or not you think the rule is stupid or not. Call me a bitter OSU fan but Smith received about 1/10 of that in extra benefits and missed 2 games so what should happen to Jarrett???

Is Samardzija really that kind of talent? I'd never heard much about him until the whole baseball thing, which made me believe maybe it was just press because of being a two sport guy.

If he's that good, that raises Quinn's stock a bit.

He's gonna put up big numbers again this year. Is he as physically gifted as Dwayne Jarrett, Calvin Johnson, or Ted Ginn Jr.? No. But he will see a ton of balls thrown his way and has the best pure pocket passer in college football throwing to him. Assuming the 3 guys I mentioned turn pro after this year, Samardzija will probably be the 4th WR taken. That could still mean middle of the 1st round though.

Samardzija is very solid.

Why do you think it's for the best player? Apparently the voters don't think so.

Because it is the award given to the most outstanding player in college football, not valuable. Those aren't my words go to their website and look.

Some voters use it as an MVP which is stupid, some use it for the intended purpose of giving it to the best player in college football. It's really turned towards an MVP over the last 10 years.

Would have bet the ranch that you were gonna vote for him.

It's not a bad pick though, if I would have listed 9 options instead of 8 he would have been on there.

So you're saying that the most outstanding player in college football shouldn't win the award for most outstanding player in college football?

Quinn will be because he's already got a big name going for him, and people notice that.

Watch out for Brian Brohm. With Bush in the backfield, defenses will have to stay honest. Brohm could have better numbers than Quinn or Smith.
