Game Freeze

I simmed through 100 years (partly with v4.0 and partly with v4.1) and then expanded by 4 teams and took over one of those expansion teams starting in year 2001. I wanted to create a fake history of baseball and then play with an expansion team.

Everything was going just fine, but now in 2008, the game keeps freezing up on me. I usually sim a week or a month, then check my lineups, etc...

I cannot get through 1 week os simming without the game freezing up.

Any ideas? Could it be because of the length of the career? I invested a bunch of time simming those 100 years, so I would hate to hear that that is the cause, but if it is, oh well....I just wan tot find out what is going on.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If it's getting hung up on the same game each time, take a look at both rosters and the lineups for both teams and ensure there's a player listed at every position.

No, it gets hung up on different games everytime.

I think I will use my back up from 2001 and start from there again...maybe the file just got corrupted.

Quest's recommendation is a good one.

It may be each teams everytime... but many of the bombs that occur during simming are the product of one of the teams (computer or human) having an invalid lineup/depth chart/pitching role in one of the lists.

If worst comes to worst you can run computer manager on all teams, this will check all the computer teams for issues.
