amateur draft

I started an historical league in 1977. turned off the amateur draft and then after I created the league I turned it back on figuring the game would create fictional players when the draft is created lo and behold the game created the amateur draft with real NL players. what happened. I was going to turn the amateur draft off and when the next year started it would assign the new players to the proper teams.

I'm sort of confused. Do you want real players for rookies or fictional players?

With OOPT6.5 I was able to import real players to there proper team at the beginning of the season and then in June I could have an amateur draft with fictional rookie and then switch back.

It was a way of adding a few more players to the league.

I have now decided after making the mistake of adding an amateur draft in June to have a hybrid league

Start the league importing the correct players to the correct team and then having an amateur draft and let teams pick who they want from the list of players instead of assigning them to their proper teams

When patch 2 arrives I will start over and do this correctly
