I'm a bit confused about photos. (something isn't right here).

First off, I wish there were separate folders for coaches and players for fictional use. I know that the game has a "coaches" folder but thats only if you name each and every coach. And thats the same with the players photos folder.

Here's my problem;

I had read on these forums that coaches & personnal photos are numbered from 1-900 (or depending on how big your league is), however I find that this isn't the case (unless I am missing something). First off, I have a 36-team league with four minor leagues. With 12 personnel per team in the majors and 4 personnel per team for the minors that = 1,008 for my league - which is no problem because I am using a default photos I found. I then have over 4,000 photos for the major & minor leagues. However, the problem is that a lot of the players are getting the "default" photo I am using for the personnel. I do not understand why this is happening. I have enough personnel photos and I have enough player photos. I should not be getting any of the personel photos showing up for my players. Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something or is this a known problem?

Below is the photo I am using for my personnel. This is what is showing up for a lot of my players instead of real/actual player photos. Oh and by the way real/actual player photos are showing up for personnel. So, they are all mixed up. .........

it probably has something to do with the file names of the photos. as i have it understood, the lowest numbered file names will go to the personnel immediately and the rest to the players.

Not sure if this helps, but when I changed personnel names from fictional to real, it picked up the real player photos (I had Wrightwings pack in for players). I noticed some players weren't being picked up but when I looked closer it was all naming differences, eg Don Somebody instead of Donny_Somebody, etc.

Kyros,

I just this morning released a new version of the Customization Guide that covers player photos in some detail, along with default player photos. Why don't you grab a copy and see if it answers your questions?

Since that comment, we're in a bit of transition of that issue GD. But you're correct, it was that way. Right now, awaiting the patch, personnel and players overlap ID#s. So (again, right now) the only way to effectively separate personnel from players is to use one format for one group, one format for the other. Or names all around. Player IDs alone will generate a coach sharing the same photo as a player.

My understanding (and that's all it is) is that the fix in progress - I hope to be included in the patch - is that the coaches will be assigned Coach_#.jpg file formats that will easily solve that problem. Then, you're good to go filling up the personnel with staff photos appropriate to their 'look.' Sorry for any confusion along the way. We'll get there real soon.

Now this would be the best way to handle it. I don't understand why this wasn't implemented in the first place.
