Depth Charts: Starters as Subs....is this a bug?
I have 3 players
Colon Sosa: Starting SS, also has a decent rating at 2B Roy Coney: Starting 2B Dino Carhuayo: Backup SS, rating of 1 at 2B So, I have the depth charts set up with Coney as the starting 2B with Sosa as a Sub, and Sosa as the starting SS with Carhuayo as the backup. Coney gets injured, and the computer decides that instead moving Sosa to second and starting Carhuayo at short, it just wants to start Carhuayo at second where he's got a rating of 1. So, should I be able to do what I'm trying to do? Should the depth charts understand a starter at one position as the backup at another? |

Set the starting frequency of the first backup as never. This way, he should only be used in a defensive substitution. In theory. Make sure your starter who is also a backup has a backup of his own.

Carhuayo is listed as the backup at short. He's not anywhere in the second base depth chart. Still, when the starting 2B went down, they slotted him in there, even though he sucks.... |

Zweiblumen,
So sorry about the slow response to this thread. ![]() Do you still happen to have this saved game handy? Are you still seeing similar decisions? I logged this as TT # 2080, but I'd like to figure out some way to replicate this issue. Thanks, Steve |
