First year draft players semi-disappeared

Fictional league, patch installed. I am running one organization, and have "Prevent any AI roster changes" checked for all clubs in the org. I just had my first-year player draft. While I can see my players listed in the transaction log or on the "Roster: Listed Players: Entire Organization" page, and while if I go to a newly-drafted player's profile page, his team is listed as my Rookie League affiliate, if I go to the team page for that affiliate, my new draftee is nowhere to be found, nor is he on any other roster. So I have 20+ new players, but can't do anything with them.

Followup: I was able to make the new players appear on the Rookie League squad by unchecking the "Prevent AI changes" box for that club and advancing the game one day.

Hm... I guess that makes sense. If you tell the AI not to make any roster changes, I guess that includes adding players from a draft. It'd be cool if there was a way to exclude drafting, since otherwise the teams will never be able to refresh with new players.
