Recorded hitting streaks?

Is there a way to see the longest hitting streaks anymore?

I looked in the almanac thingy but to no avail

Thanks

I think this is one of those features that will make its way back into the game eventually (enough people like it, so it should IMO), but it didn't make the first rewrite. Maybe those in the know could shed more light on it.

I don't see why they would leave something like this out. It couldn't have been too hard to rewrite.

It would be time consuming but you can look at the individual players and their hitting streaks.

True, but if all those must have features were in, the game would ship in December.

I agree, OOTP206 did ship a bit early. While I'm throughly enjoying it, another 3 (or perhaps even 6 as you say) months of polishing would have made a much better product.

I'm not implying that a product should never be released since it can always be improved. Rather, I think OOTP2006 needed a bit more work before it was up to the standards of previous OOTPs. I don't mind the bugs. I do mind the missing features (i.e. features which were in previous releases).

At a bare minimum I do not believe it should have been released until all existing functionality from previous versions was either present or replaced with something superior.

My 2 cents

does seem strange that they can record every single players individual hitting streaks but not have 1 page showing the top 10?

Just putting another vote in to get this on the next patch. Being able to compare hitting streaks (both historically and in a current year) is a fun part of the game.
