Defensive Experience

I was wondering if someone might be able to explain Defensive Experience in the Player Editor. It seems to have a range of 1-200 and contributes directly to positional ratings, but what exactly do the points represent?

If a gold glover and a butcher at shortstop both played 5 full seasons at the position, would they have equal experience numbers?

Yes, they would (assuming they got the same amount of actual playing time).

Try to think of it as fulfillment of a player's defensive potential. This rating allows you to se a player's growth at any given position.
