Controlling all teams

I am running a standard mlb setup with full minors. I want to have total control over all teams in all leagues. I am not seeing a way to do this. I play the game by myself and enjoy having total control over all aspects of the game. If I advance to the next day I do not want any actions to happen unless I was the one who initiated them. Please help, otherwise this game is not something I can use. Thanks

Play the game in Commissioner mode. That will give you complete control over your league.

IIRC you can also set all teams to be under human control rather than the AI.

How do you set all teams to human control? I am playing with commissioner mode and all types of transactions are happening without my knowledge. I do not want anything to happen unless I make it happen. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

How do you control just one team and handle EVERYTHING on that team but don't want to get fired - EVER? Like we were able to in OOTPB6.5 and before.

To westendcards,

Unfortunately, there is no way in the current release to manage all teams simultaneously, short of creating manager identities for each team and switching between them, which would be pretty cumbersome. I have submitted a feature request to Markus regarding this, and it will get reviewed for potential addition later...

To Kyros,

If you go to Manager Home and check the Play as Commish checkbox, you cannot be fired. You will have access to editing options that you wouldn't as a manager, but just don't use them if you don't want to!

I have tried to e-mail Marc but have not received a response. Does anyone know if there will be a solution for this within the newest patch that is set to be released? If not, how do I go about returning this?
Thanks
Phil...

There was a thread about this recently. Apparently no plans to fix this in the 1st patch and I don't think it was mentioned in the 2nd. Why it would be done like this is beyond me. I play by controlling all teams as well.

I will not even use the game unless I can control every aspect. I cannot stand to see some of the dumb things that computer controlled teams do, it really ruins the game. Do you have any idea how I can return this

I think that's a bit premature. I myself am still waiting for a patch or two before purchasing. However, from what I've read you CAN prevent a computer GM from making moves. It just requires a little extra effort here as mentioned above. And I'm willing to bet Markus will remedy the situation soon enough.

In any event, the lack of a feature we like but which was never advertised doesn't really sound like something that should warrant a return. But who knows? Maybe SI has a liberal return policy.

You can control every team. You just have to set up a human manager for every team and switch between them.

I believe the first patch may have some help for this issue. Not promising until I see it though.

Close! You assign a human manager to all teams, then you play as the commissioner. If you need to do certain things on a team like get scouting reports or release a player, you may need to select the team, which you can do from a drop-down menu in the top right corner of the screen.

Full minors might be biting off more than you can chew. I like to control everything as well, but I'm playing without minors and am finding it to be everything I hoped it would be. With minors... I just can't imagine how long it would take just to micromanage a single day.

I sure hope so. I find it ridiculious that the game was not released that way to begin with.
