Post Question about PE2

I have a guy in a historic league, Deacon Mcguire C, who imported with some really distorted pitching stats that are causing him to show up in the Career Leaderboard. I want to delete him from the retired players so that he doesn't mess up my Career Leaderboard. Can PE2 do this? If not, will it eventually have this capability?

To my knowledge, there is no way to delete and/or edit retired players with it. I haven't heard it mentioned as a future addition to the program either.

This exact same problem (with the exact same player) happened to me... perhaps a database problem?

Also -- some players (Sam Crawford, W. Keeler) imported with all their career stats, but then added stats from 1900- to those as I continued the replay. Thus, Keeler has around 4200 hits, mostly because the stats from 1900 on are counted two times (one real, the other from the replay). It seriously skews the career leader boards, but only for a few players. I hoped the editor could fix this in some way...

What version of the database are you using to import these players...

If its the latest revised version (available at http://www.tresclub.com )?

Let me know what players and exactly what the problem is and I will try to fix it.

If its from the Baseball1 version of the database or an earlier version of my revised database, try the latest one... I've tried to fix most of these errors (which occur because of odd sorting and some other issues found in the original database).

Are you using Scott Vib's revised database? The original lahman 4.5 database had to be resorted to stop those type of problems.

edit- Geez Scott you sure are fast.

No, sadly - - these are from older versions of the database (4.0). I just cannot seem to get myself to start over my replay again, though I have shifted to a newer version of the database for my recent seasons...

I wasn't really complaining about the database, since it is my own fault for not updating. I'm more questioning whether the PE could fix these errors. I keep downloading the newer version to see, but no luck so far. Going through the league file, I figured there are about 10 players (thus far) impacted--not too many that I couldn't change them quickly.
