Irish Fictional League
If anyone is bored and/or up for the challenge, I'm thinking ahead for OOTP7 and plan on starting a small Irish Major League with one AAA-level sub-league. I recognize nobody has to do any of these, so I'm COMPLETELY thankful to anyone willing to take up the call. And I'd be thankful for any number of contributions, even if it's just one logo.
Some of the teams have the same nicknames as MLB teams and I may just use the actual MLB logo for them, so maybe I don't need any for those (unless you want to slap on the appropriate city name)....and I definately prefer logos to be low key, old school, simplistic, as opposed to logos that look like they belong in the Arena Football League or WNBA. Low key, old school, classy and classic looking. Oh, and I don't need the city name AND nickname in the logo, necessarily. One or the other is obviously fine and possibly flexible for other people to use, too. Here's the league setup: Quote:

Ennis Harps:
Attachment 41246 Carlow or Drogheda: Attachment 41248 Note: Not sure how the black in this will work in OOTP, if so, I can tweak it some... Kildare: Attachment 41249

Much, much, much appreciated, knuckler, and Professor!
Thanks, canadiancreed. Is it Connaught? Thanks for the headsup. Man, talk of all this, plus it being the week of St. Patrick's Day, and by coincidence the latest book I've checked out of the public library is Irish-history related, and I'm quite in the Irish frame of mind right now.

And I think it can be spelled either way according to Wikipedia. I'd jsut check the regional page and go from there

Whatever, but when I was there all the signs read "Connacht."

Not sure if you'll like this or not, but I used the crest from the GAA and added crossed bats to it.

Not super original, but slightly different. I'm also going to re-do that Cubs one to fix up the circle which looks a little sloppy.

Aw, much thanks!
Yeah, I think when I was looking up for reasonable nicknames to some of the teams, I just used already existing ones for Gaelic football/hurling teams, so I guess there's already material out there to work with as far as logos/shields/etc. go? |
