Puerto Rico Playoffs

In Puerto Rico all teams play 40 games and at the end of the season the top 4 teams go to a playoff with 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3, and then the final.

However this option is not available for the puerto rican league. Is it possible to fix this in the patch?

The playoff options are limited in the game compared to real life. Other league's playoff formats cannot be accurately simulated.

Unfortunately I would expect it to be a future version rather than simply a patch where you would see this addressed. Maybe since this is a simpler change (1 division winner plus 3 wild cards) than some others (e.g., like involving byes) it could come earlier, but I would not hold my breath. Playoffs have a long way they could go in improving, but they may not get much attention again until more drastic changes are made.

What gmo said. I asked for the Shaughnessy playoff format (the top four teams in the league qualify for the post-season) to be included. I thought it would be a relatively easy addition, but Markus said such a change was actually fairly complicated and would take full day's worth of coding work.

I guess it shows that the stuff which looks easy can actually be hard while the stuff which looks hard can sometimes be easy.
