This is nothing major but on the 1st breaking news story, there is a typo/extra character. "Plano's Luis Zavaleto is teed off - on opposing pitching. He hit .345 in 2016, smacking 3 homers and 28 RBI to win the SL1 Outstanding Hitter Award crown this year]. The center fielder also amassed 100 total bases and 40 runs scored." |

The main issue for me is the relievers-as-starters problem. This has been discussed elsewhere already, I'm listing it here so that it does not slip under your radar.
Some teams seem to be short on starting pitchers, so they throw relievers with endurance ratings of 6-10 into the rotation. Those guys get pulled after 2-4 innings, despite playing well. See here for example: http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...stats_0_1.html O'Lonnergan and Arquedas have been used as starters, averaging around 3 IP per start. One short-term-solution might be an AI tweak that forces them to put more starters onto the active roster. Alternatively, one could instruct the AI too keep them in the game a little longer if they are doing well, even though they are flagged as "tired". O'Lonnergan had a 2.07 ERA, he certainly could play longer. |

(Unresolved) - I'm going to just copy what I wrote yesterday with new links where appropriate to save myself.
"0 players tied with" has re-appeared (team leaders W) http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...ms/team_4.html "1 player tied with" (team leaders W - maybe it's something to do with the game distinguishing SP and MR separately as it only seems to affect this column) http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...s/team_16.html |

If two players are tied for 1st, the next player should be in position 3, not 2 as shown in that second link, whereas it is right in the first link. |

Another thing is that pitchers are inserted as defensive subs rather often -- this should be tweaked a little. Look at this guy's fielding stats, he played everything but CF:

On this screen, the Runners Thrown Out Percentage is still displayed in the wrong format (0.3 instead of 30%).
http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...derboards.html Also, the "years played" shows up as 0-0 here: http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...eer_2_313.html Last edited by Eumel; 05-26-2006 at 08:12 AM. |

Looking at the Free Agent List, it appears that 99% (rough estimate) of the F/A pitchers are MR's. OOTP6 (IMHO) had a propensity to generate a disproportionate percentage of MR's when creating draft pools or rookie classes, compared to SP's or any other position for that matter. It looks like this propensity may have carried over, multi-fold, into OOTP2006.

(History) Starters in fielding register don't add up to correct number of teams. (6 catchers, 5 third baseman) http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...00_0_2015.html For example Pedro Acustin is shown as the starter on the Raleigh page here http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...ositional.html but not on the previous link, resulting in the total starters being incorrect. Also names are shown reversed alphabetically in fielding register, as are the teams in the team index. - THIS IS NOW CORRECTLY SHOWING, TY

(NEW)
The players list looks to have got rid of the lower case b, d and v, but I can't check as each letter in the player list has a dead link. http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...0_players.html and click on any letter. For this reason, this problem can not be checked Quote:

Historical fielding stats - if you're not going to break the players down by position, then you can get rid of the note at the end of the column: "Last 2 columns are Fielding Percentage and Range Factor (expect Catcher where last column is Runners Thrown Out Percentage) Numbers in headings are league average values." None of that is true or present. (Of course, I'd much rather see a breakdown of the fielding stats by position than just removing the note - that list of defensive stats sorted by innings played is all but useless.)
