Jersey Numbers

I know it's not a big deal, but is there going to be coding where the jersey numbers cannot be duplicated on the current big league roster?

I had some teams with like 5 #33's. Again, it's not a big deal, but it's cool to see the stars with unique numbers.

I'd like to see this implemented as well.

It's that way

It's that way in Eastside Hockey Manager, so I'd imagine that there'd be a great possibility it'll be that way in OOTP2006

An official word wouldn't hurt though

Also, I wouldn't mind to see them weighted. In my experience, there are far to many high numbers.

Heh, I know this is totally a cosmetic aspect of the game, but I do appreciate the fact that you can change uniform numbers at will in EHM.

Cras, I didn't recognize you with the new avatar. Somehow, Ted Knight suited your "voice."

Anyhoo...

I also am a fan of the dynamic numbering system of EHM, and hope there is something similar in OOTP 2006.

Count me as someone who would like to know if this is possible.

I liked the way EHM and FM handle the jersey numbers. When someone is acquired via trade, free agency, or a call up, it automatically asks to specify a jersey number for that player.

I hope this gets implemented in OOTP

It should be. The current non-system is pretty dumb.

It would be nice to have the game keep track of numbers...not repeat them on the same team...and keep the numbers pretty much in the 1-60 range.

I do it myself, but it would be nice not to have to do it.

It would be neat if the game allowed you to retire uniform numbers. Maybe in next year's version.

I am curious however with Players jersey numbers r we able to retire the number of a player?? just a thought maybe put some restrictions on that such as maybe 1 number can be retired every 10 to 20 years. And turn the day we retire a number into a promotion day as well.
