A Return To Intuitive Rating Entry (OOTP5 over OOTP6)

One of the biggest problems with OOTP6 for developing rosters was the removal of the intuitive method of rating entry: i.e. for someone's 'Getting Walks' skill, you entered the number of BBs per 550 plate appearances. That was a simple and effective manner for recreating real players.

With OOTP6 this was removed, and it is the game's loss, IMO. I know it's very late in the day, but the OOTP6 engine is built around certain 'fixed skills', like hits per 550 ABs, homers per 550 ABs, Ks per 550 ABs - it would be good if it was that easy to enter.

I agree. This would be very helpful for those who wish to make league files of prior seasons.

To make it even easier, just allow us to enter a whole line of stats, like
232 AB, 70 H, 15 2B, 0 3B, 4 HR, 19 BB, 41 SO, 18 SB
and then, further, to indicate that these numbers came from a league of a given level or equivalency, say the FSL. (The game can do the math to extrapolate this to a standard 550 PA.) Then let absolute ratings be generated to reflect a player posting those stats at that level.

Anyway, that's what I'd like. In a patch, down the road.

I agree with this request.

I think somebody needs to threaten to not buy the game and leave forever. We'll have this feature by tomorrow morning!!

In all seriousness, though...this would be a great help for roster editing/creation.
