Retired numbers?

Just a quick question, will there be any chance to retire numbers?

Thanks!

cool idea, not a huge feature and probably not an easy code to put in, so its likely not worth the time.

I don't see it being to hard if it was manual add to retired number.

maybe i don't know, if I were to add the feature you'd need a screen with all the #s retired, and all that. And me personally I dont even pay attention to the #s in my fictional leagues. If it was there I would use it, but if it takes more than a few hours of work, then I don't see it ever being necessary.

I sure hope players have reasonable baseball numbers at least.

Same here! And no more doubled up numbers either.

But I would like to see retired numbers. I can see where it may be difficult to have an AI retire numbers on computer controlled teams, but I think it is still a cool feature.

I'm not sure why this is even an issue. What I like to do is just keep a numerical roster of my team in an Excel file while making sure that no one has any number I have retired myself. If you really want to be a Nazi about it, you could create similar rosters for each team. You'll just have to be really meticulous about who has what number.

Personally, I think a more useful feature would be a Team Hall of Fame. A jersey number barely comes up at all in this game as it's not visible really anywhere other than the player screen. But, a screen where you can see a collection of the best players for a particular team throughout history and their stats with that team, that's useful. And that would really serve the overall purpose that retiring a number would do; to call attention to a great player.
