Real player names.

Ive done a bit of scouting on the business of real player names and I see that in baseball, fans appear to be obsessed with ancient data. I don't have that interest. Most of the updates appear to be focusing on getting this ancient history correct. Good luck to them Im sure it is a mammoth task for them. However I would like to download the current MLB rosters and the rest of the world as soon as the game is released. Im not too concerned about getting the realms of data from yesteryear. Just want to play and create my own history.

Is this going to be possible. I just want Logos, Grounds Names Teams and thats it. A la Football manager.

Can anyone direct me, cheers.

At first, I thought it was going to be another person asking if MLB players and teams were going to be in the game.

But yes, I think we will have a 3rd party 2006 roster set available for OOTP 2006 around the time the game is released. Soon enough mate...

Someone usually does create an OOTP MLB pack to download each year. I'm sure there'll be one this year, though I wouldn't be surprised if it took a bit longer to make. A "rest of the world" pack might be a bit more involved, as they'll be starting from scratch, but I expect there will be something available eventually
