Community League needs 6 GMs, at World Series in 1st year

The Community League is coming to the end of its 1st year and with the end of season roll call we are in need of 6 GMs in this 10 team league. We are currently ready to begin the World Series on 1-May. It is going to be the Boston Red Sox vs the Chicago Cubs.

The league has started out with 450 all time greats from the past and present, so each team right away has great players on it

The following teams are open:

Boston Red Sox: Record (91-71) Currently in the World Series. Take them over ASAP and you could lead the likes of Willie Mays and Joe Dimaggio to a World Championship.

Cleveland Indians: Record (90-71) Lost in the ALCS to Boston 4-1. Team is lead by Stan Musial and Alex Rodriguez.

New York Yankees: Record (76-86) Team had a great offensive year, but a team ERA of 5.05 is why the record is not up to par. They were 2nd in the league in HRs with 211. Lou Gehrig hit 31, Barry Bonds hit 32 and Ken Griffey Jr. had 32.

Baltimore Orioles: Record (73-89) Team is stacked with great players all around, but this year wasn't meant to be for the team. They lead the league in HRs with 223. Leading the HR tear was Mark McGwire, who bashed 56. Behind him was Albert Belle with 28 and Mickey Mantle with 23.

In the pitching aspect of the team they have Curt Schilling, Roy Oswalt, Cy Young and Don Drysdale. Trevor Hoffman had 37 saves with a 2.73 era.

Los Angeles Dodgers: Record (77-85) Lack of offense doomed this team. As they were at the bottom of the league is just about every category. On the pitching side of things, they were near the top of just about every category. They are lead by Roger Clemens, Walter Johnson and Dennis Eckersley. In their minor leagues currently is Mark Prior as well.

St. Louis Cardinals: Record (72-90) Team will have the 1st pick in the draft this coming offseason. Lack of pitching was the downfall of this team. Offensively they were just about at the top in the major categories. Leading the way are, Eddie Mathews, Hank Greenberg, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and Bobby Abreu. Get

So there you have teams looking for new owners. Any of these teams could be in the playoffs next year and win it, so all it takes is a dedicated owner to make that happen.

Here is some basic info about the league.

Sim Schedule: M-W-F (Exports due at 4pm EST; Sim after 5pm EST)

Sim Length: We do a half month of a time. Either 15 or 16 games. So after 2 sims one month of the season will be completed. Works out really well.

Amateur draft: 5 rounds and done on the forum. Will consist of real players from past years of baseball.

After you post the info I will look it over and then let you know if you are in. I am looking for GMs who have time for the league. This league doesn't require alot of time by you. It is a laid back league and it is alot of fun to just watch how the season plays out. I do ask you at least export every other sim, so that way I know you are still active with the league. I am trying to add some things to the forum to make it more active.

I know with the new version of OOTP coming out in a matter of weeks, it is going to be hard to fill these spots, but if you are looking for a different kind of league, then this is the league for you, so give it a shot.

Okay everybody the World Sereis has come to an end and the Chicago Cubs defeated the Boston Red Sox 4-1 to win the first title in the league. Join now to take out the Chicago Cubs next year. 4 spots remain open so, look at the first post on what you have to do. Look forward in you signing up. St. Louis has the 1st pick in the draft, but it needs a owner to make that pick, so why not join and take that pick or choose another one of the open teams.

Hurry now, cause the draft will offically begin on 8-May at 6pm EST. I would hate for the AI to make that pick.

The New York Yankees have opened up and they happen to be the only team open at this time. I have decided to allow people to join if they don't have the game, so if you want to get in on a league that great players, but don't have the game, then know worries, cause we will be glad to take you in.
