ootp 5 - trouble after a game

i downloaded ootp5 and am at the end of 1903. after the first WS game, there was some kind of error, and the game shut down. i can get back into the game - the game was completed - but I cant get the date on the standings menu to move to 10/05/1903 to play the next game.

any ideas on what i can do?
