A note from a new moderator

Just a note to let everyone know that the moderators are going to be getting a little more fussy about how everyone behaves in this forum. OK, so maybe it'll just be ME getting a little more fussy, but hey, I was only recently granted these powers, so maybe I'm looking for a chance to flex some muscles before they start testing me for steroids.

We all know there's been a lot of snippiness lately, and we've also seen the growth in popularity of profanity/inappropriate things masked cleverly in the first lines of posts.

Just wanted to serve fair warning that I'm here fairly often, and will be helping to keep such things out of this forum.

As always, feel free to report posts if you feel they are inappropriate.

Now he's a moderator too!?! Well, that's it, that proves battists is really either a machine or is a series of clones. Because there's no way one single solitary individual can have his hand in as many areas as he does.

It's a good idea, but my current avatar (it's a baseball bat with a keyboard embedded, if you couldn't tell) was a gift from my wife, so it stays!

Based on my years as a mod, I have the following advice for you: enforce the rules precisely as they are written. If they need to be changed, then have them changed - but until they are, enforce them exactly as written.

That can be fixed after Andreas or Steve Kuffrey get the time to do so. Believe me, he has the power to mod the OOTP 2K6 Forums

It's time-consuming, boring and it takes all the fun out of a forum. On top of that your friends will resent you the minute you try to enforce the written rules on them.
