For those MAC users out there

Will you still buy the MAC version of OOTP, now that Apple has released the public beta of Boot Camp (which officially allows users to have Windows XP on their Mac computers)? I have both computers, and was considering buying a license for each, but now with the release of Boot camp I will probably just get the PC version.

Another year or so and Apple will just start shipping windows based PCs with the Apple logo slapped on them, cut performance by 30% and charge 50% more.

It should work fine under Boot Camp, it's a native installation.

I will still buy the Mac version since I have a PowerPC Mac.

Should and does are often two different things. I'll believe it when someone tries it and it works.

We've been running PC programs on a Boot Camp Mac since it came out. Every single one runs at native speed since it is a completely 100% native installation.

But have you actually run OOTP yet? Have you been able to acquire an E-License?

Speculation is great, KC, but I've seen any number of things that should have run just fine that didn't over the years.

MD, it's just a bootloader. It would be no different that having Linux and Windows on a normal PC.

Famous last words, KC. I have seen other, similar things fail when there was no reasonable way that they could have done so.

Until someone actually does it the case remains unproven.

Fine, I'll test it this week. I would bet my life savings that this would work fine and I'm normally as cynical as they come. It's the same hardware as any other Core Duo laptop out there right now.
