My team names went on strike!!
What next.....chalk lines replaced by picket lines on my PC!!
I am having trouble with the lehmans database. I go through the motions to get the Historical league setup, the players flow by on the screen into the league, when it finishes, the league is there with its eight slots per league, but all the team names are blank?????? I can access the teams by clicking the blank spot where the name should be but no players are on the teams. I can reset the league and hold a draft which gets players onto a team but still no team names and no way to insert a name as the team drop down menu at the top never appears??? I am using STB2k3, with the stb2k3patch_13 installed on my Atari, I have un/re-installed it all twice. (just kidding... its really a Commodore 64) I have used Lahmans GV45, and the RevGV45 is now installed. I think the umpires are behind this, but I am holding out, and waiting on your call, to help me out. managerially yours, T68 Pirate owner in GEBL http://gebl0.tripod.com/ |

I have been trying to start a season by initially drafting players from 1900 or 1901.
Im also a little lost as to why Im getting players from Milwaukee Mln, pulled into the 1900 era season! Is there a list of the teams and their abbr and era's used in this database posted somewhere? T68 |

1900 will cause you problems, since the American League didn't exist at the time.
1901 should import just fine. You get a team based in Milwaukee in 1901, because there really was one. The Milwaukee Brewers were an AL team playing in the Lloyd Street Grounds for one season before moving to St. Louis and becoming the St. Louis Browns (until they moved to Baltimore to become the Orioles). There should be a Teammaster.csv file that will have the teams and abbreviations in the database. To my knowledge OOTP doesn't use these and the actual alignments from 1901 on are hardcoded in the game. Hope this helps. Woohoo the strikes over The teams took the field in a 1919 sim with out hesitation and once again the White Sox threw the series, this time to New York.
Thanks for the help Scott, T68 |
